Female duck
The female duck is bred in the Landes, more specifically on the hills of the Chalosse area, where they benefit from the mild climate which enables outdoor breeding.
They are raised for around 70 days, its feed contains 75% cereals, grown in the area, with mineral and vitamin supplements. They are free to complete their diet with grass, seeds and insects they find while pecking the ground.
Their skin is thin and low in fat, their meat muscled and firm, brown in colour, with a distinctive flavour.
